Erratic Driver Complaint Leads To Felony DWI Charge For Man In LaGrange

An erratic driver complaint led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Hudson Valley man for DWI.

 Allan P. Forbes, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 10:50 p.m. Thursday, after New York State Police received a 911 call of an erratic driver on Noxon Road in the town of LaGrange, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

Troopers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, troopers found Forbes was operating while intoxicated without an interlock device, had a prior DWI conviction within 10 years, and was driving on a suspended license, Hicks said.

Forbes was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, aggravated driving without a license, both felonies, and operating without an interlock device. 

He was arraigned before the town of Union Vale Court and, remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Forbes is next scheduled to appear before the town of LaGrange Court on Oct. 23.
